In collaboration with Centennial Nights, Central Michigan University's Planning Recreation Program and Events class RPL 430 is organizing "Boo's and Beats."

The event will take place from 9-11 p.m. Oct. 31 at Centennial Hall at 306 W Michigan Street in Mount Pleasant. Tickets cost $3 at the door and all proceeds will benefit the CMU Food Pantry.

Individuals can participate in "Boo’s & Beats" for free if they buy a ticket for Centennial Nights' Costume Party, occurring the same night. Tickets for the Costume Party cost $12 at the door for those in costume or $15 for those not in costume.

"Boo’s & Beats" is a haunted walk-through with five themed rooms. Some rooms consist of themes like an asylum and cult. All actors for this haunted walk-through are student volunteers from CMU.

This event was created from scratch by five students in RPL 430. The students had to find sponsors and fundraise because they lacked a budget.

One of the students running "Boo’s & Beats," Mount Pleasant junior Logan Moyle said the overall goal for the night is to get individuals to come out and have fun.

“They should expect a great haunted house experience that should be a lot of fun for any of the attendees,” Moyle said.
