It's another sad day for fans of bourbon-grilled shrimp and filet mignon, as the Lone Star Steakhouse restaurant at 5768 East Pickard Road, the last of its kind in Michigan, has announced its closure.

The closing was made official on Oct. 5, with a sign taped to the restaurant's front door reading "To our valued guests, this location is now closed. Thank you for your business and we hope to serve you at another location very soon."

According to the restaurant's website, the Mount Pleasant location was the last in Michigan. Former locations in Jackson and Battle Creek closed their doors in November 2016 and January 2017, respectively.
