Central Michigan football gives first look at new uniforms

A new era for the Central Michigan football team also comes with a revamped uniform. 

The CMU football Instagram account highlighted the new jersey, with the script "Chippewas" nickname matching the font of the well-known "Flying C" logo. 

The Adidas logo moved from the top of the chest to the right side of the chest.

The new jersey is simplistic compared to last season's look, which had a tire tread looking texture on the shoulder pads. Meanwhile, the new threads appear to have a lighter shade of gold on the lettering and trim.

At the moment, the Mid-American Conference logo seems absent from the jersey but could very well be added before the season begins.

CMU will premier the look Aug. 29 at Kelly/Shorts Stadium when it takes on Albany for its season opener.
