Main Street partially closing for construction

Main Street between East Broadway Street and East Michigan Street is scheduled to have a partial closure next week on Sept. 9 and 10.
According to a tweet sent from the City of Mount Pleasant account, the partial closure is due to construction taking place at 114 S. Main St. The west lane of the road will be closed, along with the sidewalk. Street parking will also be affected.
Mount Pleasant City Engineer Stacie Tewari said the construction is for installing a water service line for a business. Anyone who parks on the part of the street that will closed should park on the east side of the street, nearby streets and city parking lots, she said.
