Smoothie King to open in Mount Pleasant Dec. 3

Smoothie King plans to open for business in Mount Pleasant on Tuesday, Dec. 3, Christopher Klebba of Northern Diamond Management said.
The smoothie shop is located at 1720 S. Mission St., in the same strip mall as Chipotle. The restaurant will also feature a drive-thru.
“Our new Mount Pleasant opening marks Smoothie King’s seventh location in lower Michigan and is important to our overall growth,” said Smoothie King CEO Wan Kim.
Smoothie King specializes in health smoothies blended with whole fruits and vegetables while removing added sugars and artificial flavors.
According to Smoothie King's online menu, the restaurant only serves smoothies, no food items are offered.
Smoothie King will hold a grand opening event on Saturday, Jan. 18 and will be offering free smoothies for a year to two customers every hour between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Regular hours of operation in Mount Pleasant will be 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Locations in St. Clair Shores, Livonia, Chesterfield, Allen Park, Flint and Ann Arbor opened earlier this year.
