Overdrive Orchestra and Slumlord Radio will be coming to Mount Pleasant on Feb. 15 to co-headline a heavy rock music concert at Rubbles, a bar in downtown.

White Elephant Records will be presenting the concert, which also includes the Jackpine Snag and EPCYA. Doors open at 8 p.m. Jackpine Snag will play first, followed by Overdrive Orchestra, then Slumlord Radio and, finally, EPYCA.

Overdrive Orchestra is a five-piece band from Grand Rapids. Front man, guitarist and harmonica player, Chris Cranick, said his group is a heavy psych rock band with traces of stoner, blues and hard rock. He said their live shows are energetic and have spacey, elongated jams.

“I wouldn’t say any two shows are the same,” Cranick said.

Slumlord Radio is a trio from Grand Rapids. Vocalist and guitarist for the group, Tommy Erickson, said their music can be described as dirty punk and rock music. Their live shows are controlled chaos, he said.

The event will be for people ages 21 and up, according to the Facebook page for the event.
