Central Michigan Volleyball completed its second straight sweep, defeating the Akron Zips (9-10, 2-6) 3-0 on Friday night. With the win, the Chippewas move to 3-5 in the Mid-American Conference, with a 6-14 overall record.

After an electrifying win against Eastern Michigan on Tuesday, the Chippewas (4-14, 1-5) were on the road again, looking for a second Mid-American Conference win against Buffalo (6-9, 3-3) on Friday night. After losing the first two sets, Central Michigan University answered by taking the third, but the high-powered plays of the Bulls' offense in the fourth set were too much for the Chippewas, who lost the match 3-1.
It was a “breath of fresh air,” as CMU volleyball head coach Arielle Wilson put it last night at McGuirk Arena.
