Lots of weekend shows for everyone not going to State

A wide variety of live rock bands will be coming to the Mount Pleasant scene this weekend leaving the concertgoer a grand spectrum of musical styles to choose from.
Friday night, Domestic Problems will rock Rubbles. Their blend of danceable modern rock and great showmanship on stage make for a very desirable concert event. See the accompanying feature on the band in this section for more details. Be sure to show up early to this show as Rubbles will fill up quickly.
Saturday night at Rubbles, the acclaimed Cincinnati-based modern rock fusion band Heavy Weather will perform. Many people who attended the Fall Rock-N-Reggae Bash at Salt River Acres this year may remember the band's musically tasteful show as having a very soulful and groove-oriented rhythmic funky rock sound.
Rubbles is located at 112 W. Michigan. The 18 and over shows start around 10:30 p.m. with opening bands for the above listed headliners. There is a small cover charge for admission.
The Bird Bar & Grille will host two bands this weekend. On Friday night, the group Acoustical Blends will perform acoustic rock and folk tunes. Saturday night, the popular local band Crosstown Mojo will perform its catchy blues rock sounds.
The Bird Bar & Grille is located at 223 S. Main. The 18 and over shows will run from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. A small cover charge is required for admission.
