SGA, police put parking solutions in gear

The Student Government Association Monday commended CMU Police efforts to solve overcrowded commuter lot issues.

At its meeting, SGA introduced a resolution to support the police in its efforts to alleviate parking problems on campus.

SGA will vote on the resolution in two weeks.

When shuttle bus hours are extended from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., university police will move all northwest quad resident parking from Lot 8 to lots 62 and 63E.

“Regardless of whether we pass this resolution, this plan will be implemented,” said Student Body President Adam Ebnit, Alma junior. “If we pass the resolution, we are showing that students agree with what is being done.”
