In Friday’s edition of Central Michigan Life, an article titled “New turf leaves field hockey without home,” a paraphrase said that University President Michael Rao “found out about the field hockey situation at a board facilities subcommittee meeting Feb. 23.”

In fact, Rao knew about the field hockey team’s need for a new complex for several months, but was alarmed about the amount of money ($800,000) needed for the new complex. That was the “situation” he became aware of at the meeting.
