Comedians highlight Program Board’s spring schedule
Program Board has a semester full of events for students to take advantage of in the spring.
“We’ve been able to get a lot of things in place before the end of (the fall) semester,” said Jamie Brown, assistant director of Student Life and Program Board adviser. “The credit really goes to the students who put things together.”
Nearly a dozen events are already scheduled for this semester, including a casting call from MTV’s show “Made,” Thursday in the Bovee University Center.
“They’re looking for a male college student to get a makeover and go on spring break,” said Heather Hillman, Sterling Heights junior and Program Board public relations chair.
Hillman said students can sign up for the casting call in the Bovee UC where they will be asked to fill out a questionnaire and do a two to five minute taped interview.
Other events are planned to be added as the semester goes on, she said.
Program Board has already rescheduled the rock band Everclear for Feb. 25 in Rose Arena and hopes to get another concert in the same venue.
“We’re looking to do a bigger concert,” Hillman said. “Whatever is available and open to us, we’ll go with it.”
