McCullough places sixth in discus Friday at Akron
Central Michigan senior thrower Ryan McCullough placed sixth in the discus throw Friday in Akron. He marked 50.55 meters in the gold division.
Freshman thrower Kyla Walworth finished eighth in the women’s discus with a distance of 42.42 meters. Teammate freshman Kayla Brindley placed 11th with a distance of 35.95 meters.
The track and field team was split between Grand Valley State and Akron.
Only the distance runners traveled to Grand Valley for the Big Meet, while the rest of the team traveled to Akron for the Akron Invitational.
