Storm expected Tuesday, Wednesday


A storm appears to be headed this way, according to the National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office.

The storm is expected to last between 10 p.m. tonight and 10 a.m. tomorrow morning.

The amount of snow predicted is between 3 and 5 inches, with a quarter inch of ice. The precipitation will be spreading north after midnight, with winds of 10 to 15 miles per hour, sleet and also freezing rain. The ice threat should diminish late Wednesday morning with warming temperatures. However, for the night, it is expected for lows to be around the '30s.

There is 100 percent precipitation for the night, and 70 percent for tomorrow.

The biggest impacts will be felt generally north of Ludington to the Mount Pleasant line.
