The College of Science and Technology is working to expand its study abroad options for interested students.

Heidi Mahon, director of student services for CST, said the college wants to make sure students dedicated to science majors have the same opportunities to study in other countries as students in other colleges do.

"Science and technology students nationwide believe that study abroad won't fit into their schedules because of the nature of their majors," Mahon said. "However, with the help of the (Office of Study Abroad,) CST is looking into new possibilities for our students to study abroad."

The OSA offers options to study abroad in multiple countries for students in other colleges, but getting the word out about the programs and partnerships with foreign universities for students in CST is important, Mahon said.

The expansion will start with the biology major, according to the OSA website. There is no date set for when the study abroad option will be available.
