Sept. 3

From DNA to Beer: Harnessing Nature in Medicine & History -- This traveling exhibit from the National Library of Medicine is on display until Sept. 13 on the third floor of the Charles V. Park Library. The exhibit explains the relationship between microbes, technology, science and medicine. Admission is free and open to the public. 

The Complete World of Sports (abridged) -- University Theater presents The Complete World of Sports (abridged.) The comedic play will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 3-6 and at 2 p.m. on Sept. 7 in Bush Theater. Tickets are $7 for students and seniors and $9 for adults in advance. It is $10 per ticket at the door. 

Sept. 4

The Neighbors -- Central Michigan University Program Board is playing The Neighbors, a comedy staring Seth Rogan, Zac Effron and Dave Franco, at 9 p.m. at the Health Professions Field next to Finch Field House. The event is free. 

Sept. 7

Dance United open auditions -- The United Way of Isabella County is hosting auditions for their annual fundraiser, Dance United, at 5 p.m. in Rose 127. Dance United, a "Dancing with the Stars" type fundraiser for the non-profit organization, will take place Nov. 6 in McGuirk Arena. 

Sept. 9

Faculty artist -- Music faculty member and composer Jay Batzer will be sharing some of his newest pieces in a faculty performance at 8 p.m. in Staples Family Music Hall in the Music Building. Tickets are $5 for general public, $3 for students and seniors. 

Sept. 10 

Speak Up, Speak Out -- Speak Up, Speak Out is hosting their first forum of the year from 7-9 p.m. in the Park Library Auditorium. They will be discussing "The Power of the Vote." Students are encouraged to participate in this panel discussion.
