Local chefs challenging each other’s cooking prowess at annual completion

Two expert Mount Pleasant chefs will go head-to-head to see who is the ultimate iron chef at Camille’s on the River this Friday.

Starting at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 5, Camille's on the River's Executive Chef Brent Peterson and Mountain Town Station's Executive Chef Doug Evans will face off and cook the best possible three-course-meal to be judged by hungry restaurant patrons.

“We did this last year and had a great time with about 55 people judging the dishes,” Brent Peterson said. “I won last year with two out of the three dishes being favored. I’m hoping to go three and 0 this year against Doug.”

The event costs $50 per person and includes all six dishes with table wine.

Camille's on the River, located at 506 W. Broadway St, can host 130-140 people for the event.

Reservations can be made by calling Camille's on the River at 989-773-0259 or Mountain Town Station at 989-775-2337.
