Celebration! Cinema approved to sell alcohol
Celebration! Cinema of East Pickard St. was recently approved for a liquor license after a unanimous Union Township vote at a public hearing Wednesday night.
The cinema is looking to include alcohol in order to increase the amount of customers because of the modern movie-going habits of their patrons. They are approved for a Class C license allowing for beer, wine and spirits.
This location of Celebration! Cinema will be the fifth in their chain to implement a liquor serving policy. Celebration Banquets, who supplies the menu, expects no substantial changes to their food menu.
All alcohol will be served in clear cups and pint beers will be $5. Although the state requires a minimum of three employees to be trained to serve alcohol, at least 20 theater employees will be trained.
