Tow truck driver arrested for criminal sexual conduct
Shawn Crittenden was arrested and is currently lodged at the Isabella County Jail on two counts of criminal sexual conduct fourth degree, one count of indecent exposure and one count of assault. The 40-year-old Mount Pleasant man touched women inappropriately while driving a tow truck for Green's Towing.
A 40-year-old Mount Pleasant man was arrested for touching two different women inappropriately.
MPPD Officers began investigating allegations of a tow truck driver inappropriately touching customers on Jan. 17 after a victim reported a driver touched her inappropriately while towing her vehicle. With the help of Mount Pleasant-based Green's Towing Inc., the man was identified as Shawn Crittenden.
Crittenden was an employee of Green's Towing for a year and was terminated following his arrest. He had no prior record of sexual misconduct.
Crittenden was arrested on both incidents and is currently lodged at the Isabella County Jail on two counts of criminal sexual conduct fourth degree, one count of indecent exposure and one count of assault. Bond is set at $70,000.
One incident took place on Jan. 17 and an earlier incident took place on Aug. 30.
