Center for Innovation, Collaboration & Engagement holds open house

An open house for the Center for Innovation, Collaboration & Engagement will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday Sept. 18 in Moore Hall Room 430.

ICE facilitates engagement on projects through competitive incubation grants (pending budgetary approval), meetings, and seminars. Johnny Sparks, an advertising professor and the director of ICE, said this is an initiative that is several years in the making.

The open house invites artists, actors, researchers, musicians, and communication professionals from CMU and the community to the open house event. All are welcome to come and learn about the mission of the center.

“I’m always amazed to hear what our students and community have to offer when we hear one another, and that’s what this initiative is all about — starting that conversation so we know our community’s strengths better and we can (collaborate),” Sparks said.
