Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe general election candidates announced


The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribal community has selected candidates who will go on to the General Election ballot onNov 3.

Twenty candidates from District 1 were selected from a list of 56 by tribal members from within the community. District 2 is running un-opposed and District 3 has two candidates advancing to the General Election, according to an Oct 13 press release.

Kenneth Sprauge, Chip Neyome, Lindy Hunt, Candace Benzinger and Timothy Davis received the highest amounts of polled votes in District one, with Sprague receiving 196 out of 208 total votes.
