U-Ride taxi under investigation for sexual misconduct

A U-Ride taxi driver was arrested Oct. 20 for fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. 

Mount Pleasant Police Department began an investigation when it received reports of a subcontracted driver inappropriately touching another U-Ride driver. The victim reported the suspect touched her during a ride on Oct. 19. 

U-Ride helped police determine that Sid Tutewiler, 43, was the driver in question. He was arrested and is currently housed at the Isabella County Jail on two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of assault and battery and one count of prostitution/accosting and soliciting. Bond is set at $150,000.
