Police Log: Feb. 29-March 6
March 4
Mount Pleasant Police were called when a 31-year-old woman was reported to be hitting her 26-year-old boyfriend after an argument. No charges have been filed.
A vehicle was pulled over near the intersection of West Campus Drive and Denison Drive after running a stop sign. The driver, a 24 year-old man, was arrested for not having insurance.
March 3
A non-aggravated assault was reported in Campbell Hall. An uninvolved witness called police after a 19-year-old woman pushed her 21-year-old boyfriend after the two had an argument. No injuries occurred, and the victim chose not to press charges.
March 2
A 47-year-old Weidman man was reported to police for stalking a 19-year-old Mount Pleasant woman. The man was allegedly pestering the woman after being told to stay away. Police have not had contact with the suspect.
A 32-year-old Weidman man was arrested after attempting to shoplift more than $600 worth of goods from a store on Pickard Road. The items included a smart TV and an HP printer.
