Broadcast and Cinematic Arts department to host annual career fair

The College of Communication & Fine Arts is hosting its annual Broadcast and Cinematic Arts career fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 25 in the Powers Ballroom.

Employers representing multiple stations and other media companies will be attending the fair to meet students and locals while they look for interns and potential employers. The fair is open to all CMU students, regardless of degree program, and any media professionals from the Mount Pleasant area.

Peter Orlik, director at CMU’s BCA program, said the Student Broadcast Executive Council developed the career fair several years ago.

“It brings in broadcast executives from all over the state,” Orlik said.

Employers at this this years career fair includes: CBS Radio, iHeart Media, WWTV/WWUP 9 & 10 News, NBC 25, Fox 66, CMU Public Broadcasting and several others.

Students and local attendees are encouraged to bring several copies of their resumes and demo reels.
