MainStage has been postponed due to inclement weather. The Office of Student Activities and Involvement's annual event will now occur from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, according to the organization's website.
MainStage aims to connect Central Michigan University students with Registered Student Organizations and resources on campus as well as the surrounding Mount Pleasant community. Students who attend usually receive free items from vendors.
The organization made the announcement on its Facebook page at about 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. SAI Director Damon Brown confirmed with Central Michigan Life that the decision to postpone the event was due to forecast rain.
The organization's website also states any vendor unable to attend the event due to postponement will receive refunds for space purchased beginning Monday, Aug. 27.
The current forecast for Mount Pleasant, MI on weather.com predicts a 20 percent chance of precipitation.
