CM Life receives awards for 19-20 school year

The 2019 CM Life staff is presented with a proclamation from Mayor Will Joseph Nov. 11 at City Hall.

Central Michigan Life won several awards  from the Associated Collegiate Press and the College Media Association for their coverage of Central Michigan University during the 2019-20 school year.

Notable awards include fifth-place reporter of the year, awarded to Evan Petzold, and first place for COVID-19 coverage in Design/Visuals, awarded to CM Life.

“It was really outstanding and it says a lot about the dedication of our students,” CMU's Director of Student Media Dave Clark said.

Dylan Goetz, CM Life's Editor-in-Chief for the 2019-20 school year said he was excited to see the staffers succeed.

“I’m very proud of what we were able to accomplish during my two semesters as Editor-in-Chief,” Goetz said. “I feel honored to have worked with some of the best student journalists in the state and in the nation.”
