Board of Trustees to meet June 23-24, discuss 2021-22 operating budget
Central Michigan University's Board of Trustees will meet virtually on June 23 and 24 to discuss the proposed $435 million operating budget for the 2021-22 school year.
The proposed budget is $7 million more than the $428 million budget for the 2020-21 school year.
Committees will be meeting from 2:15 to 4:45 p.m. on June 23 to discuss traffic ordinances, student enrollment, academic prioritization, updates on summer construction and the master plan. The committee meeting schedule is:
- Policy and Bylaws, 2:15-2:30 p.m.
- Academic and Student Affairs, 2-3 p.m.
- Finance and Facilities, 3:45-4:45 p.m.
The formal session will be at 10 a.m. on June 24. An agenda item for the session will be “to consider departmental mergers and the establishment of a School of Politics, Society, Justice and Public Service in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.”
Public comments will be allowed for the formal session by filling out a request online and providing the comments in advance.
Due to the virtual format, during this meeting public comments will not be delivered in-person.
The committee meetings and formal session will be available for the campus community and general public to watch virtually.
