EDITORS NOTE -- Pavrette withdrew from the transfer portal March 29.

Tony Barbee has lost a key piece of his 2021 recruiting class to the transfer portal after just one season.

Freshman forward Nicolas Pavrette has entered the transfer portal, becoming the third Chippewa to do so this offseason. The news was first reported by College Basketball Europe on Twitter.

The native of Lyon, France was little used early in the season but earned his first career start Jan. 15 against Akron, scoring six points in 15 minutes of play. He notched career highs in points (9) and minutes (20) in the Chippewas' Feb. 12 loss at Western Michigan.

Overall, Pavrette played in 25 games, starting 10. He averaged 1.4 points and two rebounds per appearance.

Pavrette's departure comes one week after redshirt junior Cameron Healy and sophomore Ryan Wade announced their decisions to enter the transfer portal.
