Shannon Stein earns MAC Player of the Week

CMU's softball first baseman Shannon Stein was named the Mid-American Conference co-Player of the Week.
This achievement comes after leading the offense to a 3-2 weekend in Madeira Beach, Florida. Over the weekend, she had eight base hits with five of them being extra bases with three home runs and seven RBI in the five games. She ended the weekend with a .421batting average.
The senior from Albuquerque, New Mexico is in her final season as a Chippewa. So far this season she has a total of eighteen hits, seven homers, and a .391 batting average in only fourteen games. On the other side of the field at first base, she has a .957 fielding percentage with eighty four put outs.
