Ammeraal earns MAC Setter of the Week

For the second week in a row and the third time this season, Central Michigan volleyball freshman setter Claire Ammeraal received Mid-American Conference West Setter of the Week. 

In the sweep over Eastern Michigan to close out the regular season, Ammeraal finished with 41 assists, six kills and six digs. 

Ammeraal is coming off of a weekend that earned her Setter of the Week when she recorded her third triple-double against Western Michigan with 10 kills, 45 assists, and 13 digs. 

Ammeraal has been an all-rounder player for the Chippewas, ranking first in assists (824) along with ranking fourth in blocks (57), digs (236) and service aces (21).  She's seventh in the MAC in assists. 

The Chippewas ended the regular season 19-10 overall and 12-6 in MAC play to clinch the No. 4 seed in the MAC tournament. 

CMU will begin tournament play on Sunday against Toledo at 4:30 p.m. in Muncie, Indiana.
