Professional development through connecting with alumni has been a major focus in the PES 603 class at Central Michigan University.

The Sport Administration Master’s students found an opportunity to connect with an alumni currently working with the Detroit Lions. Kyle England, Premium Partner Sales Manager, graduated in 2015 with a Master’s degree in Sports Administration from CMU.

Upon reaching out to Mr. England, he granted the class the opportunity to come to the Lion's game on Dec. 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He gave a tour of the stadium, showing relevant areas related to PES 603 such as press boxes, locker rooms, sports performance facilities, athletic training rooms and more.

This was a great hands-on experience for the students to see what a professional work environment looks like, as well as the many areas in which professionals help an organization such as the Lions operate on a day-to-day basis.

The Sport Administration program at CMU has granted students the opportunity to connect and network with collegiate, semi-professional and professional sports organizations and sport managers, administrations and directors around the country.

These connections will last beyond the span of this class and will benefit graduates from this master’s program to fulfill their career goals.

The CMU Sports Corporation offers graduate students in the Sports Administration program real-world experiences to ready them for life after graduation.
