Stand-up comedian LeClerc Andre to play Opperman Auditorium

CMU students walk past the Park Library, Wednesday, Feb 1, on the campus of Central Michigan University. The library is always a busy place on campus for students to study, read some books, or just hang out. 

Central Michigan University Program Board is to host stand-up comedian LeClerc Andre from 8 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Opperman Auditorium in CMU’s Park Library.

Born in New York, Andre is known for his quick wit and charm that can be seen at clubs and colleges across the country, as mentioned on the event's Engage Central page. He has been featured at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, NBC’s “Bring The Funny” in 2019 and "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in 2018. According to IMDb.com, Andre is also best known for his TV special, “LeClerc Andre: With All Due Respect,” which was released in November 2020.

Andre graduated from Coppin State University in 2009 with a BA in English and has been a stand-up comedian since 2011, as stated on on his LinkedIn page. 

Program Board is responsible for the planning and execution of fun and educational programs at CMU such as concerts, comedians, lectures and special events, according to CMU Program Board’s Engage Central page.
