The Central Michigan University Police Department was dispatched to the following incidents between Oct. 25 and Nov. 12:
Oct 25
CMU Police were notified at 4:52 a.m. about property destruction. A 20-year-old female hit a fire hydrant. She passed the Kulhavi Hall parking lot on CMU's campus and missed the turn, so her GPS took her to the Dragon Express parking lot. Her GPS told her to take another right turn, and she hit the hydrant. The incident caused a boil advisory for the Towers community.
Nov 1
At 1 a.m., CMUPD responded to a call about a missing intoxicated person. The 20-year-old female was separated from her friend group. Officers searched the area and located the female; she was breathing but needed medical attention immediately due to the frigid weather.
Later that morning, at 2:46 a.m., a 25-year-old male was driving while under the influence. Police pulled him over, and the suspect was arrested with Operating While Intoxicated charges.
Nov 3
At 1:04 a.m., police were called to Troutman Hall for a possible argument. Someone heard the fight and called the police. When they arrived at the scene, they realized it was domestic violence between a 20-year-old male and a 19-year-old female. No arrests were made.
Nov 7
At 10:40 p.m., police were doing a warrant sweep. They arrested a 24-year-old male who refused a warrant for his arrest.
Nov. 12
Police responded to a case of malicious destruction at 1:05 p.m. A 21-year-old female told police that someone keyed her car in lot 22, right outside of Towers. The suspect was identified as a 21-year-old male, and the warrant for his arrest was requested.
Hours later, at 6:15 p.m., CMUPD were dispatched for larceny (theft of personal property) in the music building on CMU's campus. The 19-year-old female had her Apple iPad stolen, and the suspect has not been identified.
Anyone needing assistance or wanting to report an incident can contact CMUPD at 989-774-3081, use the blue light emergency phones across campus or call 911 in an emergency.
