37th Annual Celebrating Life Powwow
The sound of tribal drums and songs rang throughout McGuirk Arena during the 37th annual "Celebrating Life" Powwow, hosted by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Dancers of all ages were able to compete in traditional, grass, fancy bustle, jingle and fancy shawl contests. During the intertribal dances, anyone was able to join the arena floor to dance, even if they were non-native. The event also included food, jewelry, art and clothing vendors for the public to enjoy.
