GALLERY: Papa's Pumpkin Patch

A Mount Pleasant staple, Papa's Pumpkin Patch, has tons of fall fun for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors before it gets too cold. Throughout October they are open 11-5pm on Tuesday - Thursday, 11-6pm Friday - Saturday, 11-5pm on Sunday, and closed on Mondays.

GALLERY: Central Bridge hosts Loteria night

Central Bridge hosted a Loteria (Mexican Bingo) Night as a part of Hispanic Heritage Month Tuesday, Sept. 27 in the Center For Inclusion and Diversity. The event aimed to educate students on the history of this common household game and help non-Spanish speaking students become more familiar with the language.

Battling intermittent rain showers, Central Michigan soccer (1-6-2, 0-1-1) welcomed Miami (OH) (5-2-2, 1-0-1) to Mount Pleasant on Sunday looking to secure its first Mid-American Conference win. However, the hunt continues for the Chippewas as they lost 3-0 to the RedHawks.

Central Michigan volleyball wanted to prove that night one against Ball State wasn’t a fluke. And it did just that when it defeated the Cardinals 3-2 (23-25,12-25,25-20,25-22,19-17) in a five-sets on Sept. 24.

GALLERY: Students 'fire up to vote' with trivia, goats

Central Votes hosted a Fire Up to Vote event in celebration of National Voter Registration Day on Sept. 20 in the Fabiano Botanical Gardens. Central Votes registered students to vote and helped with absentee ballot applications. "We even had goats, because when you vote you are the goat," said a Central Votes Facebook post.

The President's Office holds a Welcome Back Ice Cream Social Wednesday, Sep. 7 in Warriner Mall. The event, which served as a way for members of the CMU community to interact with President Davies and other students, featured ice cream, drinks, and fruit.

Students learn about health and wellness at 'Take Care on the Lawn'

Central Michigan University departments and organizations offered students mental health and wellness resources  at 'Take Care on the Lawn' on Sept. 1 outside of the Bovee University Center. Participating groups included the Counseling Center, CMCrew, Program Board, URec, CMU Takes Care, Care Team and more.
