The Office of Multicultural Student Services hosts award-winning writer, activist, and social worker Feminista Jones as part of MLK week Tuesday, Jan. 17 in French Auditorium. Jones spoke on Dr. King's legacy of radical activism. "The activism isn't just when you have the free time, it's not just when you won't get in trouble. Its about being a disruptor. And that's what Dr. King was," Jones said in her speech.
The Office of Multicultural Academic Student Services hosts a CommUNITY Peace March & Vigil in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Monday, Jan. 16, across CMU's campus and into downtown Mt. Pleasant. Students and community members marched to honor Dr. King's legacy, and the event concluded with speeches given by runner-ups for the MLK Oratorical Conest.
CMU North American Indigenous Student Organization hosts an Inaugural Round Dance Saturday, Jan. 14 in the Bovee University Center. Round dance is a ceremony that was originally used to bring healing after the loss of a loved one, and has been adopted into the Anishinaabe way of life.

The Indiana State Museum hosts its Family New Years Eve party Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, in Indianapolis, Ind. The event featured a dance floor, face painting, an indoor train ride, and many other activities for attendees as they rang in the new year.
CMU gymnastics hosts the CMU showcase to show the team off to the fans Saturday, Jan 7, in McGuirk Arena. The gymnastics team is projected to repeat their victory as MAC champions this year.
CMU's men's basketball team defeated Michigan 63-61 on Thursday, Dec. 29 at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor. This is CMU's first win in Ann Arbor since 2007 and the twenty-sixth time the two teams played each other.

The event included a pancake bar, breakfast taco bar, and a donut wall for students to enjoy. With finals week beginning on Monday, the event gave students a place to de-stress, socialize, and study.
