Fresh off a dominant 27–6 win at Bowling Green, Central Michigan football returns to Kelly/Shorts Stadium this Saturday for Homecoming. For head coach Matt Drinkall, it’s not just another game. It’s a chance to celebrate a team that’s “finally found its identity” and to showcase a program he says the Mount Pleasant community can be proud of.

Early in the second quarter, Bowling Green was attempting to convert a second-and-seven to extend its drive. Instead, linebacker Jordan Kwiatkowski came up with an interception, which he ran back for 26 yards before being brought down at the one-yard line.

After the past week's bye to help wash away the sour memory of a loss to Akron, Central Michigan football once again hits the road to take on Bowling Green.
What began as a back-and-forth afternoon at InfoCision Stadium ended in frustration for Central Michigan, as the Chippewas couldn’t complete a late comeback and fell 28–22 to Akron on Saturday.
After winning back-to-back games at home in Mount Pleasant, Central Michigan football is headed back out on the road as it matches up against the Zips of Akron University on Saturday.
