Despite Central Michigan's 72-68 loss to No. 3 Louisville at McGuirk Arena, senior forward Reyna Frost stood out.

She posted 22 points and 13 rebounds, shooting 9-of-16 from the field, 2-for-8 from 3-point range and 2-for-2 from the free throw line.

Frost, at 6-foot, added two assists, two steals and one block.

For her performance, Frost earned Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week honors for women's basketball. It's the fifth time in her CMU career that she's won MAC West Player of the Week and the second time this season.

"There's the size of the heart and there's no fear," CMU coach Sue Guevara said of Frost. "I think that's half the battle. You go in and you go in confidently. And the other thing is, she's put in the work. And that's the bottom line. I think it probably bodes well for her at the next level.

"The consistency that Reyna gives us game in and game out is huge. Very selfless and just a very hard worker."

Frost is averaging 16.6 points and 10.9 rebounds per game on the season. The Chippewas are 8-2 on the 2018-19 campaign – only losing to South Dakota State and Louisville.

Next up for Guevara's group is the Miami Holiday Classic on Dec. 29-30. CMU takes on Tulane at noon on Dec. 29 and No. 24 Miami (FL) at 4 p.m. on Dec. 30 before starting MAC play on Jan. 5.
