The 30th Annual Pow Wow “Celebrating Life” will take place March 23 and 24 in the John G. Kulhavi Events Center in McGuirk Arena.

The Pow Wow is open to the public, with $7 general admission for ages 11 and above. Students, children and Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe members all get in free with proper identification.

The grand entry ceremonies will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23 and 7 p.m. and noon Sunday, March 24. Doors open to the public both days at 11 a.m.

This event is an annual celebration of Native American culture at Central Michigan University and the surrounding Mount Pleasant community. It is organized by a group of CMU students and advisers called the Pow Wow Committee. The pow wow is intended to build cultural unity between the tribal community and student attendees.
