Man identified in Sunday breaking, entering at Greenside Tavern

Adam Michael Jones of Middleton was identified as the individual that broke into the Greenside Tavern early Sunday morning.

The 22-year-old has been charged with breaking and entering, two counts of resisting and obstructing and malicious destruction of property. Jones' bond has been set for $60,000.

The Isabella County Sheriff’s Department responded to an alarm at the Greenside Tavern, 27 S. Coldwater Road, in Lake Isabella.

A window was broken on the west side of the building when police arrived.

When deputies gave the man verbal commands to come out of the building, the suspect then hid behind the bar. He continued to refuse to comply with officer commands. A K-9 Tribal Police Department was sent in and the suspect gave up without incident.

The Isabella County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police, Mount Pleasant Police and Central Michigan University Police. MMR was also on the scene in case they were needed.
