Central Michigan women's soccer sophomore Lexi Pelafas was named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

After leading the Chippewas with four goals in 2015, the Wheaton, Illinois native tied that mark two games into the 2016 season.

Pelafas scored both goals in the team's 2-0 win in the season opener at Duquesne on Friday and scored twice again in a 3-1 victory at Robert Morris on Sunday.

Pelafas leads the MAC in goals and is tied for first in the NCAA. She was one of four CMU players to make the All-MAC Freshman team last season.

The Chippewas play Youngstown State in the team's home opener at 6 p.m on Friday at Bennett Soccer Field.
