CMU to host virtual Rock the Vote event

The Speaker Series Committee at Central Michigan University is presenting “Rock the Vote," where students will discuss and learn about the impact of their vote. 

The event will take place on Oct. 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. via WebEx. It is a free discussion allowing anyone to join, according to the CMU events page.

The virtual keynote is a non-partisan discussion “focused on amplifying and educating millennials and Generation Z about their right to vote” according to the event page.  

Carolyn Dewitt, the executive director of “Rock the Vote” will be the speaker of this event. 

Dewitt is a nationally recognized advocate for young people. She is featured in publications The Washington Post, The New York Times, CNN, Teen Vogue and Billboard, according to the event's description.

This event is sponsored by the CMU Speaker Series Committee.
