Central Michigan men's basketball has canceled its season opener verses Trine due to COVID-19 protocols, a program press release stated. 

The release did not specify which program is experiencing issues related to the coronavirus. 

The Chippewas and the Thunder were scheduled to play at 5:30 on Nov. 25 at McGuirk Arena. However, the program posted a press release saying the game was canceled. 

"Tonight's men's basketball game versus Trine has been canceled due to COVID-19 protocols," the release stated. 

The Chippewas are next scheduled to take the court on Nov. 28 at Illinois-Chicago.
