Central Michigan has learned where it will spend bowl season.

The Chippewas will play Boise State at 2 p.m. Dec. 31 in the Arizona Bowl at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, Arizona. It's the second bowl game in three years for CMU and its 13th in school history.

The game will be streamed on social platforms of Barstool Sports, who is sponsoring the game.

The program has a 3-9 record in bowl games and hasn't won one since a 24-21 triumph over Western Kentucky in the 2012 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl. In its last bowl game, the 2019 New Mexico Bowl, the Chippewas lost to San Diego State, 48-11.

CMU is 8-4 and finished the regular season with four straight double digit wins. Boise State is 7-5 and finished third in the Mountain West Conference's Mountain Division.

The Chippewas are 3-2 all-time against the Broncos.
