As of April 8, Central Michigan University Communications announced Dr. Renee’ Watson’s departure from the Division of Student Affairs.

Stan Shingles has been appointed as the interim vice president of student affairs and is said to begin immediately. Erica Johnson will serve as interim assistant vice president.

“Stan and Erica are both deeply committed to the mission and purpose of the Division of Student Affairs and passionate about supporting our students,” President Bob Davies said in a statement. “Together, they will support CMU’s outstanding student affairs staff and continue the vital work of supporting and engaging students throughout the university.”

Davies said in the statement that student success, health and well-being remain the top priority at the institution.
