Mount Pleasant Guide: Sure Shot BBQ
If you’re not new to Mount Pleasant, you may remember Robin Hood’s BBQ at 1010 W. Broadway St.
Now, Robin Hood’s in a new location and under the title of Sure Shot BBQ. Located at 1135 S. Mission St., Sure Shot BBQ sells barbeque pulled pork sandwiches, wraps, nachos, and BBQ ribs.
As far as atmosphere, Sure Shot does not make itself standout. The wooden booths are comfortable and the place looks clean and tidy, but it also feels a little plain. Sure Shot feels welcoming and warm, but it’s not exciting or different in its presentation. This is also the same for the food. All meals come served in a Styrofoam or plastic container and soda is served by the can.
The atmosphere does not hurt Sure Shot, it just does not bring a lot to the table (pun intended).
So if you’re not here for atmosphere, you must be here for food. All the portions at Sure Shot are pretty generous, so if you do not need a lot of food to fill you up, consider splitting a meal with a friend. With the exception of the ribs and nachos, all meals come with a side and a coke and will run you between $6 and $8. Sides include baked beans, coleslaw, and mac-n-cheese with crushed Cheez-Its on top.
The sandwiches and wraps are good, but the real treat is the barbeque pulled pork nachos. A single order could feed two easily, but half orders are also available. The barbeque pulled pork nachos are interesting, unique, and delicious. The barbeque and pulled pork really complement the chips and nacho cheese, and you can order them deluxe as well with the addition of jalapenos, onions, and lettuce.
The service is relatively quick. Normally an order does not take any longer than a few minutes to be filled.
With a small, but solid menu and food priced reasonably, Sure Shot BBQ is a great place for anyone who loves barbeque or is looking for something different.
