Katy Clements named MAC Gymnast of the Week

Following a performance that included two scores of 9.9 in the balance beam and floor exercise, Central Michigan's junior gymnast Katy Clements has been selected as the Mid- American Conference Gymnast of the Week.
This is the first time the Georgia native has received the honor, while last season she was named Specialist of the Week in early March.
In her career at CMU, Clements' most consistent event has been the balance beam, and her score this past Sunday of 9.9 was only .25 away from a career best in the event.
Clements will be back on the beam at 1 p.m. on Sunday in Kalamazoo against Western Michigan for CMU's first conference meet of the season.
