Central Michigan football defensive lineman Thomas Incoom has accepted an invitation to participate in the Reese’s Senior Bowl in early February.

The event consists of three days of practice followed by the game itself, in which players get the opportunity to perform in front of NFL coaching staffs and other media members.

Incoom was named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl preseason watchlist, along with fellow Chippewas offensive lineman Jamezz Kimbrough and tight end Joel Wilson.

Getting started at Valdosta State in 2017, Incoom redshirted his freshman year and appeared in every game during the two seasons following. In 2018, he recorded 28 tackles and 3.5 sacks. He burst onto the scene in 2019 with 9.5 sacks, 12.5 tackles-for-loss and 33 total tackles in nine starts. Incoom earned Gulf South Conference First-Team All-Conference honors.

Incoom made the jump to Division I in 2021 and contributed to the defensive unit at CMU immediately. Despite only starting in two games, he ranked third on the team in TFLs with 8.5 while also collecting four sacks.

This season was his best in college football, leading the Chippewas in sacks (11.5) and TFLs (19) while ranking fourth on the team in total tackles with 56.

In addition to the individual numbers, Incoom’s contributions to the unit helped lead the Chippewas to the third-highest tally of team TFLs in the nation with 100.0 even.
