Evan Sasiela

Evan Sasiela is a News Editor at Central Michigan Life and junior at Central Michigan University. He has been involved with CM Life since August 2014. He served five semesters as a staff reporter: four on the sports desk and one on features.

Sasiela contributed to the sports department at the Midland Daily News during summer 2016. He was a sports intern at the Petoskey News-Review during fall 2016. He will serve as a reporting intern for MLive/Bay City Times this summer.

During his freshman year, Sasiela was a finalist for the Lem Tucker Memorial Scholarship. He was the 2016 recipient of the Pam Klein Memorial Endowed Journalism Scholarship from the CMU Department of Journalism. He received a 2016 Richard and Donna Milliman Community Journalism Scholarship, sponsored by the Michigan Press Association Foundation. He was also the 2017 recipient of the Gilbert O. Maienknecht Scholarship from the CMU journalism department.

Sasiela is a 2014 graduate of Nouvel Catholic Central High School in Saginaw. He was co-editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, NCC Panther Print.
