"In the Next Room, or the Vibrator Play" will start March 20.

Central Michigan University Theater will be performing “In the Next Room, or the Vibrator Play" from March 20-24 at Bush Theatre.

Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. Tickets range between $7-11 and are on sale at Ticket Central.

Set in the 1880s at the dawn of the age of electricity, this play is a story that centers around a young doctor and his wife. It's about how the doctor's new therapy affects his household and his patients. According to the play’s event page on Facebook, this “funny, provocative and marvelously entertaining story” is based on historical facts.

This play contains mature content.

"(People show see this play because) it's a very entertaining, moving, well-written play that's just a great production, it has a great set and great costumes," said CMU Theater Director Steve Berglund. "Audience members will just have a great time watching the play."
