A Central Michigan University student will be sentenced next month in the September drowning death of her 14-month-old child. Grace Hunt, 22, appeared June 1 in Isabella County Trial Court. She pleaded no contest to one count of involuntary manslaughter. Hunt has no previous criminal history.

Two men arrested in connection with the April 20 fatal shooting at an apartment in the 700 block of Edgewood Drive were arraigned today in Isabella County Trial Court.
Mount Pleasant Police officers arrested a suspect from the shooting that took place around 6 p.m. April 20 at 700 Edgewood Dr. The suspect has been lodged in the Isabella County Jail awaiting arraignment, according to a press release from the city.
A 21-year-old man was found dead by police at about 6 p.m. at 700 Edgewood Dr. after officers responded to a report of a shooting.
